ORDER PROCESSING & SHIPPING

When will my credit card be debited?
In most cases your credit card will be debited within 24 hours of you placing your order online. If there are any problems with your credit card details we will contact you at the email address you supplied.

I have received an email which states my credit card has been declined, what can I do?
In the majority of cases we are not told why credit cards are declined - unless fraudulent use is suspected. The most common reason for cards being declined is that there are insufficient cleared credit/funds in your account to cover the transaction. If your credit card is declined we will email you, your order will be cancelled and it is suggested you contact your issuing bank for further advice. You are then welcome to place your order again when you have resolved the problem.

I have received an email requesting further invoice details. Why?
All credit card and invoice details are checked thoroughly. If you have not included all the information we need (credit card holder's full name and address) we will email you to ask for further details. Occasionally, we will request the name and address of the bank that issues your credit card. This is a security measure to protect you as the cardholder. In these circumstances your order will be put on hold until we have received and checked these details.

I have paid by credit card, when will my order be shipped?
We try to ship all orders within 48 hours of you placing them online. If this is not possible (because of Bank Holidays or weekends) we will email you with an expected shipping time.

I have paid by cash/postal order, when will my order be shipped?
In most cases postal order and cash orders are shipped on the day we receive them from you. If any delays are expected we will email or telephone you.

I have paid by cheque, when will my order be shipped?
We must wait for cheques to clear before we ship your goods - this usually takes 3-4 working days.

I live in the UK, how long will my parcel take to arrive?
Most orders should reach you within 7 days of being shipped. If your order has not arrived within this time please contact us.

Do you offer a fast shipping service?
All of our goods are shipped by courier and you will be required to sign for them. Insurance will be included in the shipping costs.

How will my goods be packaged?
All products will be securely wrapped marked clearly with our return address.

What should I do if my parcel has not arrived?
Please allow for the delivery times stated above. If these have elapsed please contact us with your order number and your full name and address and we will track your order for you.

What should I do if my goods arrive damaged?
If your goods should arrive damaged, please contact us by email or telephone and return the goods to us ASAP (our address is on the 'contact' page of the website). Order
We request information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.

Sharing
We will never share your information with any external business, company or organisation unless such sharing is mandated in law and requested as such.

Links
This web site contains links to several other sites. Please be aware that A Baker & Sons Limited are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.

Security
This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted to handling and storage within our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.

Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as post code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

Correction/Updating Personal Information:
If a user’s personally identifiable information changes (such as your post code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our privacy page so our users are always aware of what information we collect and how we use it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
